How do I disarm my after market car alarm?

on my pontiac grand am 2002. This is causing my car not to start. Theft alarm system aftermarket alarm

1. Is it aftermarket or factory...makes a differance for the answer You should have either or toggle switch or puch in button under your dash..usually on left side. Turn key on then off again and press or toggle button. This should set it in valet mode or take it out. You might also want to check your charging system, sometimes a low charge can de-activate the system causing a veh "shut-down" or sleep mode
