How does a commission split work for real estate licensees who have to pay a monthly fee.?
I understand with Remax, that all licensees pay a monthly fee. The commission splits can be 80/20, 75/25 and 94/6. Does this mean that the broker gets 80 and the licensee gets 20, and is the monthly fee the same for everybody, or do some pay more? What determines your monthly fee, and then how does that effect the commission split?

- I think it's the other way around. The agent gets the higher percentage, and the broker gets the lower. The monthly fee is meant to cover certain overhead expenses: - desk / office - supplies / forms - insurance
